He hopped to the BSB and then into the nest...and is now trying out the nest bole...

Some scaps out of sequence: I was taping Dad when he was on the branch stub and he had a little 'accident'.

He had turned around on the stub and was going to hop down lower..

But, the talons on his left foot got caught on the stub and he completely lost his balance and fell - with the talons still snagged. It looked as if he managed to put his right foot on a lower branch ......

He flapped his wings and was able to regain the stub ... Whew!

Back on the stub..[almost] After he got back on, he hopped to the BSB and then down to the nest...

Dad left the nest at 10:39am and is on the BSB...

He was only there a minute - then flew off silently to the left...

The cam is back on the nest and I am off the SPTZ 10:44am

Hi again - I have been recording on the SPTZ and reviewed the tape to my last post .....no vists!

I have closed the SPTZ now and am not on the cam.

Just checking in. Have not been on since last season. I am really hoping it is better than last. I wonder if mom had the same outcome as the let from last year. So sad if so. Anyway. Hip Hip Horray for a new season.

How nice! Two eagles.... Dad came first - followed right after by the visitor.

Both working away in the nest...

The visitor moved to the rails and Dad tried out the nest bole..

She flew off at 3:41pm...Dad stayed in the nest...

Dad didn't stay too long and flew off not quite in the same direction...3:43pm

I think one of them is in this treetop at the river - can't see the other.

ADD: The adult is still perched at Dad's perch at 3:58pm

Company for dinner tonight and I need to do a few things...hope the D's return...
