Saw another feed.
Ma was sitting on the prey and the 2 bobbleheads were lying down then soon sat up!
I did see 2nd hatch get about 4 bites.

There was also another feeding from about 6:19pm to 6:23pm and again both chicks ate! Here are some s'caps:

7;46pm......When she was done, Ma seemed to have trouble settling down on the chicks........and opted for turning to the side as she finally did that.

One sweet face looking up at Ma.

Hey all , I'm new to the board but have been watching the nests for about a month and a half with the kids and staff in the special needs class that I work in. This has been such an awesome experience learning about the eagles and then last night and this morning watching the hatches. Think I may be addicted to this forum and birds :)

It is raining and Poor Ma is soaked. Her little flufflets are safely tucked up however.

She had been awake for about half an hour.

3:05 am current time. Ma is getting some much needed sleep. Just read the posts from last night and so tickled to see chick #2 getting stronger and getting the first bites of food. Chick #1 eating well. Ma and Pa are wonderful eagle parents.

Delta 2

Oh my. The wind is howling. If anything the wind will rock Ma and her two chicks to sleep.
Ma keeping her chicks nice and dry. Ma and Pa will need to keep them covered up today to protect them from the wind and rain.

I read the previous posts and was tickled to know chick #2 received some food.
Ma and Pa have it down to a science. Both chicks hatched just hours apart. Well planned.

checked the weather forecast for today. :faint:

Enjoy your day.
