I think we can't declare a hatch time until it's completely out of the shell - but it looked very close!

Too busy watching to get a screenshot, but tiny one's wings were working really hard as s/he tried to pull him/herself out of the shell - but not quite yet. Those tiny, tiny wings are so cute!

Ma continues to be very vocal. Ma could be hearing the workers down below.
Who knows.

Congratulations to Ma & Pa Delta! :rh:

6:51 a.m.: Got a brief peek.
6:56 a.m.: Second chick looks like it's still in half of the eggshell.

Very brief look - lots of fluff and shell - don't think #2 is completely out yet.

6:56 am
Tiny one might be out - very hard to be sure, though.

Delta 2

I believe the second chick is free from the egg shell.
Looks like it. Maybe someone else can confirm.

Sandy, Cheryl - I think that makes three of us who think the tiny one was out at 6:56 am - anyone else? Or anyone disagree?

Kitcat, link is https://www.hancockwildlife.org/delta-2-cams/ You can find it by going to the new website https://www.hancockwildlife.org - if you have a larger screen or viewing window, you'll see a Live Cams link in the menu bar at the top; on narrower screens, there are three blue lines on the upper right (sometimes called "the hamburger") that you can click to see the site index.

Added - no shift change, Cheryl - and I'm guessing Dad isn't about to appear unless he has food.

I think I was wrong - he brought a lovely stick instead.

Thanks JudyB. I was there but for me the cams were down. Just went back and although it appeared they were down, I clicked anyway and got them. All the HWF cams have been acting a little weird lately.
