Delta2 2023 - 2024 Observation and Discussion Thread

8:16 am - there was an adult on the power tower (east field) nest....could not see them until they flew off...heading to the left...their mate flew off the pole and followed them for a bit before turning back....I assume they went back to the nest.

8:16 am - the power tower (east field) adult landed on the pole behind the east field trees

8:22 am - back at the Tower eagle's area....the mate flew in and landed up on the spike

8:27 am - the Tower adult on the nest flew off and circled around the tower before landing on the spike to the right of their mate

8:27 am - at the same time I was watching the tower eagles....the power tower (east field) adult flew off the pole in the east field and headed to the left....I wasn't able to follow them.

8:28 am - this looks like another adult that flew passed the tower eagles - they came in from the right and heading in the direction of the far right tower.....I followed them as they passed by the tower eagles left pole and the smaller tower to the left but lost them as they were near some trees....tried to catch up to them on the west cam but I think I was too late

I did find someone on the distant tower beyond the far right tower but I think they were already there.

8:29 am - by the time I got back to the Tower eagles, the adult that was on the left spike was down on the nest....they both remain in the same spots as of 8:54 am.

8:35 am - there is an adult on this north field pole

9:05 am - was just getting ready to put the cam on the nest and found an adult on the evergreen tree

9:09 am - the adult remains on the evergreen tree

I am now off the cams

7:38pm there is someone on the tower nest but they're staying fairly low in it.

7:41pm looks like two are there now.

7:48pm looks like someone perched on the First pole.

7:53pm one tower eagle on a spike one on the nest.

8:18 am - Good Morning Delta 2! I am logged into the cams. Will take a quick look around.

8:20 am - well...thought it would be a quick look around....not expecting activity with the rain and wind but as I got the cam out to the first tower saw two birds flying....one was an AE but not sure about the other one.....here is the adult landing down in the grasses

And as I was trying to grab that s'cap they had flown out of the grasses and went to the left...saw that in rollback

8:21 am - luckily I still had the cam pointed to the first tower as an AE came back from the left and headed to the right....passing the first tower....there was also another AE following them.

Hard to see both eagles but they are here

8:27 am - I checked the Delta Port pole to see if one of the eagles landed there but we can't see the top of the pole currently.....I also checked the far right tower and pole and the right of center pole but did not find anyone there. Decided since it was a bit breezy that maybe we could get a glimpse of the center tower and pole and we do from time to time. Had to use the zoomer screen s'caps though because the rollback is hesitating too much right now.

Here is a good view of the top of the center tower....although we can't see an eagle here at least we have a view.
