Great to see an adult on the nest! It is hard to see if there was a limp, but she did look a little unsteady at times. Were you able to get a close up of the eye for identification?
Hi Marilyn
Everyone seems to think she was limping/unsteady because she had prey in one of her talons... As well people seemed to think it sounded like Ma. Personally I think from behind it looks like her long wing tips.
As far as the eye goes, no. Looks like Judy just caught this visit as the cam was in it's regular position looking at the nest, so it's not zoomed in enough to tell.

Sorry, no - I'm not very good with these cams - and she wasn't there very long. Hopefully they will stop by more often, though they may still see it more as a picnic table than a nest.

<-snip->

Adult seems to be putting weight on both feet, but I can't tell if she is favoring one or if she's hopping occasionally because she has a large food item in one foot. The food item appears to be a bird.

She (or possibly he) has called a few times so there may be someone nearby that seems to be a threat to the food.
Hi Judy.I went through rollback and noticed an adult flying by in the background just after Ma (?) landed with her prey. Maybe that was not DM but a stranger eagle following her :dunno:

Good catch, Rose - I thought there was someone else nearby, but didn't notice the fly by. Not one of their more endearing characteristics, but eagles do steal food from other eagles and from smaller birds, and those birds are not always happy, and may try to grab it back. No idea if that's what happened here, but maybe. Or it might have been a hungry eagle who wanted her food. :%:

7:26 am - Good Morning Delta 2! I am logged into the cams.

7:12 am - from the rollback - I'm not sure if this was someone here in the stick tree this morning....other than that spot I did not see anyone.

7:31 am - looked around on the poles and towers in the west field and did not see anyone there....not sure if this dark spot is an eagle....keeping an eye on it

There is an eagle in the east field on this tree by the evergreen pole

8:01 am - the eagle at the pole to the left of the flag pole is no longer there....but we now have one on the Delta Port pole...wondering if it is the same one....will have to check the rollback to see if they flew by our eagle on the first pole
2023-01-30 11_01_57-Greenshot.jpg
Here is where our two eagles are....the first pole (on the left), and the Delta Port pole (on the right)

8:29 am - I haven't seen our pair since they left their perches....and checked on the Tower eagles and did not see them in their area, but found an eagle here a little further to the right of the Tower eagles....I think this is part of the north field area
2023-01-30 11_29_27-Greenshot.jpg
8:38 am - found what could be an eagle on this east field tower
2023-01-30 11_38_27-Window.jpg
And looks like at least a few eagles in the trees by the red building

8:58 am - I think this is an adult on the evergreen tree....earlier I thought that dark spot just to the right of them was an eagle but that's just part of the tree.

9:12 pm - I am now logged off the cams. One adult remained at the far right pole, and another at the evergreen tree. This one seemed to be watching around in the east field but the only eagles I saw were off in a distance at the trees near the red building. Maybe they were looking for a meal, not sure but they remained on the evergreen tree.
