9:19 am checked all around and think this could be an eagle at the Boundary Bay water's edge. At least it looked like a large bird...maybe taking a bath and it seemed to move some. But that could have just been the lighting. Didn't see any other birds. Cams looking good and thanks, Sue, for resetting the presets. The nest is still looking good and the leaves have settled some or maybe some have blown away.

Hi Sandy!
I think some of the leaves blew away... it got pretty windy within the previous day or so of you posting this nest photo. I was really surprised to see such a large branch lying there in your s'cap which must have been under the leaves all along.

4:03 pm - caught this someone flying around beyond the middle field tree....just a note that the blob on top of the roof in the distance is a person...just in case anyone was wondering.

4:15 pm - the bird that was on the first tower flew off when I had the E Cam on them....with the bright sunlight I could not even see them leave or see which way they went. The other someone on the pole to the left of the flag pole is no longer there but someone is now on the tower just to the right...still too small to be an eagle

4:26 pm - only some small birds out there that I could see. I am now off the cams. Everyone have a great night!

Hey everyone! On my way home from work today I saw a Bald Eagle fly north across highway 1 between Abbotsford and Chilliwack - Maybe connected to the nest close to the highway in that area Westbound past the Yale Road exit- or maybe just an Eagle heading to the Fraser...I rubbernecked dangerously of course :D I"m eager to watch them hunt for salmon!! Anyhow, I'm back, watching and waiting for Ma and Trooper to return and clean up the nest.

Thanks everyone for posting as we've been on the " summer holiday" mode. Good to see an eagle flying in the lower mainland CC398! I always wonder if there are some who don't leave.......seems like a reasonable assumption but most are gone and it is very noticeable too. Not all eagles fly the same distance so some would probably just be off to areas closer to the water rather than all the way up to Alaska. The odd one I also see in this area has disappeared from view as well. It should still be a few weeks until we see much of anything but it is good that we keep looking as you just never know! :D

11:08am..........IN on both cams.

The big tower nest seems to be slipping down lower and lower........soon to drop completely unless there is something there to stop it. Those adults will rebuild as they always do.

11:19am........A bunch of larger birds at the bay......seemed to be hanging together as a flock. Don't know what they were, but not eagles.

Pretty quiet otherwise. Hoping our eagles are having fun wherever they are.

I am now OFF both cams.
