12:56 pm apparently this was a good meal from the leftovers as Shadow ate on it for a few minutes.

1:17 pm had to watch to see the white head on this eagle. Either Ma or Trooper are at the first tower.

Shadow appears to be in essentially the same spot as Sandy left him.

2:53pm..Sure wish we could snip some of these branches so we can see the distant evergreen again. But this tree is far from the nest, not our to touch! :mrgreen:

Even all these trees have thickened up and we can't see as much as we used to. Will have to wait for those leaves to drop.

3:01pm....I'm sure all this extreme heat isn't helping the hunting situation. Small prey would be hiding under bushes etc. not coming out. That is why dusk is a better time for meals. Maybe tonight we will see something come in. It really is time for Shadow to venture out farther and get closer to food sources at the bay.

In the meantime Shadow waits.

I assume this is the same eagle that has likely circled around......they don't seem to like flying in straight lines. :grlol;

12:52 pm Shadow finds some leftover what looks like a rodent and begins to eat.
2020-07-27_14-59-34.jpg2020-07-27_14-59-45.jpg2020-07-27_15-00-02.jpg
Hi Sandy! I was curious about this leftover so had to go back on my s'caps because the only adult that was in today was Trooper....he came in around 6:51 am, and left about a minute later....checked my s'caps and had the before and after and looks like Trooper was the one that delivered that meal....surprised that it took Shadow so long to grab it.
Here's before Trooper came in...nothing on that spot on the nest
2020-07-27 10_50_16-Greenshot.jpg
And then as Trooper was leaving, we can see he did leave something behind.

3:35 pm - from the rollback - Shadow has been on the nest tree since Jean's last post but he did move around a bit....first over to Ma's perch
2020-07-27 19_21_48-Greenshot.jpg
Over to the low right branch
2020-07-27 19_22_02-Greenshot.jpg
And then back over to where he started...just a little higher up on the branch

4:35 pm - then Shadow takes a nice fly up and over to the long front branch...I think he landed on one foot at first and then grabbed on with both feet as he went out to the end of the branch
