Delta2 2018 -2019 Observation and Discussion Thread

6:41 am - the adult that is on the church cross seemed to fly off but came back again

Trooper is still on the evergreen tree

And both Tower eagles are still on their tower

6:46 am - the Tower adult flew off to the left

Trooper flew off the evergreen shortly after

[SueB]

6:49 am - the adult is still on the church cross

And the someone is still on the distant tower, left of the far right tower

Based on these two someones being in the same place I think that Trooper left the evergreen because the Tower adult must have flown past the poles & towers in his territory so he was out on patrol. Finally think we found Trooper, on the middle of the field tree. It took me a while but of course found him in the last place I looked.

7:06 am - Trooper flew off the middle tree heading toward the ground

Caught up with him as he landed on the center tower

He flew up to the top

7:11 am - Trooper hopped around to the side of the tower, and then flew up to the pole...I thought he was moving like he had something in his talons, and it appeared he did have something small

7:11 am - here Trooper moves to the left side of the pole and seems to be having trouble with whatever this thing is.....maybe it was still alive and moving more than he liked, not sure.

I think he ate this thing in one gulp as I didn't really see him working on it.

7:18 am - the Tower juvie did a little fly over to the right side. I wonder if he is having some problems flying? I thought he was on their smaller tower yesterday so thinking he may not, but seems odd that he's not flying around at this point. Just wonder if he is eating.

7:28 am - the Tower adult is back and now on their left pole

Trooper is still on the center pole....surprised that he has not moved over to the far right tower to be closer to keep a check on the Tower adult....although he is staring at them from where he's at.

7:30 am - feeling bad for the Tower juvie as s/he appears to be waiting for the adult to bring them a meal. The adult though, is nearby, keeping a good eye on them. Hoping the juvie finds some courage to take a flight to go find some food of their own.

7:47 am - The Tower eagles are still in the same place

Trooper is still on the center pole

And the someone is still on that distant tower, left of the far right tower....and now there are a few birds in the tree closer to the tower

8:15 am - Everyone is still in the same place....I have to go for a little bit now so will be bringing the cams back to the nest and logging off. If anyone is watching please post if you see anyone come to the nest.

9:34am.......... Good morning Delta2 friends! Thanks Sandy and Sue for your posts this morning! Trooper still patrolling the area............good fella!

Today's weather:

10:11 am - I am logging into the cams for a quick look around...only have a few minutes

[SueB]

10:16 am - found both Tower eagles...the adult is still on their left pole

And the Juvie is still on the tower...they could have been off in between the last post and now, but it appears they are eating something so either they caught themselves something to eat or the adult brought it in to them.

I looked everywhere that Trooper may be perched and I was not able to find him. The two Tower eagles were the only ones I found in view. I had also checked the rollback and no one has visited the nest.

10:27 am - I am off the cams at this time.
