2:16pm........So windy out there today! If Ma or DM is in the stick tree they must have ducked in closer to the center as I cannot see them there now. No sign of either of them.

I am now OFF the cam.

4:12pm......The wind is still blowing so the cam is still bouncing. Ma and DM could be deep into the stick tree or elsewhere but I cannot see them. The tower eaglet seems to have settled down now and is just standing there on its nest. Hope this wind dies down soon.

1:57pm.....Good afternoon Delta2 friends! Thanks Rose and Sandy for posting since last night. It is very hard to see if anyone is in the stick tree these days because of all the leaves but it makes sense that they would take refuge from the wind or hot temperatures there! Our heat wave is over, but although today it is windy and cloudy the temperatures will be rising again soon.

Great photo of the lightning Rose!

Thanks Jean! I sure wasn't expecting to see it.

8:24pm no visits in the nest since Jean was here.

8:35pm tower eaglet on the nest and one tower adult on a spike. Less windy than it was this afternoon, that is good.

9:53pm hard to see in the dark but there are two somebodies at the far right pole + tower.... meanwhile Ma is still in the nest. I assume one of these somebodies is DM. The other :dunno:

10:01pm Ma finally flies from the nest. Then see her over the field to the left but it's too dark to follow her after that.

10:11pm Ma was in the nest tonight for over an hour. Could not see where she tucked in for the night... or DM either.
Stay safe Ma and DM.

Recorded Ma's visit to the nest last night:
Ma flies into the nest and vocalizes. Can see she is favoring her left leg/foot. Ma appears healthy as we can clearly see she has a very nice crop, therefore is eating her meals. She calls out occasionally and is watching from the nest. Ma arrives at 8:51 pm and stays until 10:01 pm when she flies off. As it was dark, it is unknown where she may have gone to spend the night. The video is an edited version of Ma's time on the nest.

Help Us Help Ma Delta with a new nest for the next nesting season. The limbs holding the current nest are dead and only braced with supports proved by HWF over the years. Please help us help Ma Delta continue her legacy with a new nest. A huge “Thank You” for those who have already donated to the HWF New Nest Campaign.
