1:03 pm Trooper in the evergreen tree does some preening too.

I hate to leave but at 1:07 pm logging off both cams. Nice to have Ma and Trooper so close to watch this today.

Good afternoon Delta2 friends! Thanks Sue and Sandy for being here today! Wow, what awesome sunshine today! You would never know we had a huge rain and windstorm last night! It is mild for this time of the year too.......lovely day here and our adults are taking advantage of the great work conditions!

Sandy, you must be exhausted! I will be back in about a half hour to carry on with the cams.

Looks like we just missed our adults in the nest! Trooper came in with some food (something small and gray) and Ma followed. She tried to snatch it from him but he held onto it.

3:04pm.....Both are acting as if someone is flying around..........they are calling out every now and then. Took a quick look around with the cams and don't see anyone.

Think this is someone on the distant evergreen..........cannot use the E cam for a better look as it is shrouded on condensation.

3:28pm.....By the bay........3 eagles in the eagle tree............and 1 eagle down by the shore near the other birds/ducks.

I just heard an adult call out so ours, or one of ours might be up top.

3:30pm.........I just lost ALL cams. Everything is black. E zoomer cam was on the nest........W zoomer cam was aimed at the bay. It might reset to the nest when it comes back on.

I have signed OFF both cams...............am making a report.

Hi Jean! I was looking back on when you saw the adult on the field and just before you found them, just to the left of where you ended there was actually another adult there....and maybe a young eagle too. Here are a couple s'caps. The first one shows the one adult and to the left of them it looks like another eagle there....not positive though

And here in this s'cap, the adult you posted on is the one on the right....so the other adult was just to the left of them

Also, just wanted to chime in on the eagle call you heard....I've heard that sound quite a bit lately and even today, and it actually wasn't one of our eagles but that little stinking birdie that seems to be mocking our eagles. We have mocking birds here in Florida and they make so many different sounds, but I've never heard one that makes me think there's an eagle in the tree. Anyway, not sure what kind of bird that was that I posted about earlier today being on the nest tree but that bird is the culprit of the eagle sound you may have heard.

4:04 pm - the cams are still down at this time. I will keep an eye on them to see if they come back before sunset, which is around 4:40 pm tonight.

Hi Sue......see the cams are still off. Our starlings apparently do mimic other birds so maybe one was doing that. There seems to be several eagles around today so one never knows.

ADDED: Tech knows about the cams down. There are lots of power outages in the area. There was a strong wind and rain storm last night so this could be affecting our cams. Will have to wait and see.

I got a message from Ken saying that the internet and power are both out (possibly the internet is out because the power is out). Did a quick check of the BC Hydro outages map, and there are a LOT of outages:

I just heard from Ken, and he has reset the links so zoomers can log in. He won't be able to send the stream to YouTube until he gets back to his house so the embedded cams should be up in an hour or so.

The nest was empty, and both cams are on the nest (they normally revert to the Home position when the power goes out).

12:00 pm looks like one of the tower eagles maybe on a pole to the right of the their. Ma and Trooper are on the Delta pole and first pole.
