Very quiet today folks.....
Both eaglets out on an adventure it would appear.
Ma Hastings was perched on a branch of a tree a few west of the nest tree but left shortly after I arrived.

Re: Hastings Street/PNE Nest, Vancouver - 2018
Both have fledged!.... One in the air when I arrived. Impressive flying but not so impressive landing. Not to worry as it recovered and made a nice landing high in one of the cottonwood branches across the street. Finally decided to get in the air again and headed due south till I could see it no mo...

Re: Hastings Street/PNE Nest, Vancouver - 2018
Very enjoyable selection of pictures Vicki :) :ty: Unfortunate to see the uneaten prey :( Last year was even worse when they was no nest left and the parents got food to "survivor" however they could. So much on the ground that went to waste  Yesterday I'm pretty sure I saw one of the Hastings...

No fledge yet....both Apollo and Artemis near the nest when we arrived. Looks like we just caught the tail end of a feeding session. Ma hiding a few branches down in the shade  Annemie took some photos which I'm sure she'll post later..... Looks like it was one of the Hastings/PNE eaglets I sa...

Re: Lafarge 2017/2018 Eagle Nest Discussion/Scaps/videos
Both were just branching at Pandora St. when I saw them this morning JudiW. When I went out for a quick shopping run this afternoon I did see a fledging up in the air about a block from where I live. Hard to say though if it was one of the 2 Hastings/PNE eaglets or a first run by one from Pandora St...

Re: Lafarge 2017/2018 Eagle Nest Discussion/Scaps/videos
A rare treat!....family day at the Pandora location at 9.50 AM. :) Pa on his favorite westerly perch, Ma on a northern branch just up from the nest and Apollo and Artemis both branching on the south east side of the nest and tree. One was up higher on the end of a long branch. Won't be long before t...

You're welcome JudiW
Speaking of the heat ...…..only Pa and either Apollo or Artemis spotted on my morning walk perched in the shade to the east of the nest. Given the extreme heat today the other eaglet must be hiding out from view in a nice shady {invisible} spot

Re: Hastings Street/PNE Nest, Vancouver - 2018
Thanks Annemie and Stan for keeping everyone up to date, it's a pleasure seeing you at the pond while watching the eagles. I will be posting photos on Wednesday, July 18. Sorry for the delay. I have lots of photos to narrow down (July 12-15) as I was using burst shots and won't be back on the compu...

Re: Lafarge 2017/2018 Eagle Nest Discussion/Scaps/videos
Very good news to report! Both eaglets are back up in the nest location. One on a south east branch off the nest and the other to the northwest on a branch near Pa on his usual perch.
All is good for Apollo and Artemis again

Re: Lafarge 2017/2018 Eagle Nest Discussion/Scaps/videos
Apollo and Artemis are the names of the twins at the Pandora nest as Karen B. has indicated.
Hopefully the one that landed and is perched down below in the tree will find a way back to join its sibling above in the nest

Re: Lafarge 2017/2018 Eagle Nest Discussion/Scaps/videos
Hi Everyone, From my window I can see the eaglet still on a lower branch. The other eaglet is in the nest and an adult on a west branch - to me it seems like it's on an even lower branch than last night. I will walk over to the nest after dinner and check things out, and good to know I can OWL if t...

Re: Lafarge 2017/2018 Eagle Nest Discussion/Scaps/videos
I observed one eaglet this morning and the other must have been hiding somewhere else in the tree. Nobody on the ground and there appears to be a day long meditation/yoga session going on in the back grass of the eagle nest property under the nest. Lots of eyes if anyone comes down  At noon bot...
