4;31pm.....Rey has everything under control. SR9 is tucking underneath while Rey pulls some grass around.

OFF cams.

4:29pm..Just me and my dad.

4:24pm...The chick is making good beak contact to receive food. Rey is doing a great job.
Big crop.

4:24pm.....More of the feeding.

4:17pm......IN on both cams......feeding taking place but will check the rollback.

Nothing new on the rollback.........A few minutes ago Rey began to fee the chick. Its a nice feeding.

Lovely s'caps of SR9's face Ryan. Thanks for being here tonight as the break is a welcome one for me.

4:25pm....It isn't as hot as it has been for the past few days...........and that is good but the week ahead looks dry.

All seems well at this time.


OFF cams.

4:22pm....Brit is trying to figure out what is going on with all the bugs in the nest.

4:17pm.........There was just another feeding in the nest.............chick had several bites.

4:08pm...........IN on both cams.

From the rollback...........At about 2:58pm Brit was poking in the nest beside the chick. But SR9 was not liking it and began to lunge at Brit and tried to peck her several times. Brit was unfazed and just gave the chick a stare.

Our little traveling chick video Narrative: SR9 escaped the deep nest bowl, watching Rey eat. Brit and Rey built a very nice, deep nest bowl. As a result, it took the chick a bit of doing to crawl toward dad and get to the top. Using those short legs and wings, the milestone was met. Congratulation...

4:45pm.........Its hot today.........not as hot as it will be in summer, but unseasonably warm for May.

OFF cams.

4:42pm.....Rey has found a nice cool spot among the leaves of the tree.

4:39pm....The chick is panting in this heat. Brit is trying to keep h/h shaded and cool.

4:35pm......From the rollback........Brit is keeping the chick safe and shaded. It is hot again today.
