Gord has just shared that there is lots of eagle activity in the area, just not in the mitigation platform. I guess we have a nest to find!

Holly was up to Kinnikinnick yesterday, walking on the pink trail. She called a nest they saw a "very active nest", with a pair of eagles "carrying sticks and building, yakking away". They could be seen in the nest. Deserves a visit up there I think!

Holly has assured me that 4 "huge gorgeous birds have been circling and yakking away"! One couple have been rebuilding the nest. A couple of days ago "they were very talkative". You're right, I recall as well the year there was a new female, at least that is what we thought, that they nested in the direction you suspect they are now nesting in. We never did find that...

Thank you Karen! There could be eggs, or perhaps not yet. On a warm sunny day like yesterday the eggs can tolerate sun keeping them warm for short periods of time. Pa of course always has to rearrange!
I wonder if Ma left to find something to eat?
