Re: Beacon Hill Park Eagles, Victoria BC - 2019-2023 Seasons
A couple of weeks ago I saw a pair on top of the tree where the old nest was situated. No signs of a new nest there though.

Great photos!
I do see the eaglet every day. It looks healthy. I am waiting to see it leave the nest, at least to adjacent branches.

I continue to see the eaglet everyday. It is now exercising its wings.

Re: Beacon Hill Park Eagles, Victoria BC - 2019/2020/2021 Seasons
Sassyk - thank you for sharing the photos.
I can only get a decent view of the nest from quite a distance and then have to video the activity in order to get anything close to a good shot.
Here are a couple of very poor views from this morning. The One chick appears to be doing well.

I took a video the nest this afternoon and definitely saw one chick.

Re: Beacon Hill Park Eagles, Victoria BC - 2020/2021 Season
I have seen an adult BAEA on the Beacon Hill Park nest (above the playground), a couple of times this week, including this morning.

Re: Beacon Hill Park Eagles, Victoria BC - 2019/2020 Season
Thank you Sassyk. I did not know that the adults would go back to the nest, or go back together, to feed.

Re: Beacon Hill Park Eagles, Victoria BC - 2019/2020 Season
Yesterday I saw an adult perched above the nest. Today there are two adults in the nest together, but no young visible. What does this mean?

Re: Beacon Hill Park Eagles, Victoria BC - 2019/2020 Season
I have not been able to see an adult on the nest for a few days. There was an adult perched nearby this morning but I presume that by now, if no chicks are visible, then it must have been unsuccessful.

Re: Beacon Hill Park Eagles, Victoria BC - 2019/2020 Season
The adult in the nest has been often difficult to see as the nest must be deep. When a adult returns the crows are always close by. I am hoping to see young sometime soon.

Re: Beacon Hill Park Eagles, Victoria BC - 2019/2020 Season
Sorry for the delay in replying.
I mean last year's location (2018/2019). The nest seems to have shifted or is perhaps more visible due to a loss of surrounding branches.
It was swaying a lot in last weekend's winds but is still there and there is an adult sitting there right now.

Re: Beacon Hill Park Eagles, Victoria BC - 2019/2020 Season
I am just back to posting my observations of the nest above the playground. I can see an adult in the nest consistently and at other times it is presumably hunkered down. What is the timing of egg laying and hatching here? I am not sure what happened to the nest but it seems to be lower down after t...
